It’s been a month since we opened on 34th Ave. and we’ve had so much fun that we’ve decided to stay another month! Our residency will now extend through the month of May! We’re so thrilled that we get to keep this going, especially as the weather warms up and we can host activities, free books, and seating out front. No Borders and The Rolling Library are organizing another book drive to send books to our neighbors who are incarcerated at Rikers! Our wishlist is full of titles that have been specifically requested. If you purchase any of the books, they will be shipped directly to us to pass along.

Come meet other zine enthusiasts at Astoria Zine Club's workshop and zine swap! Learn all about zines, and then create your own—no experience required. No Borders will have free zines, and we invite you to bring your own to swap with others or to donate to our free table. The store will also be open starting at 5:30 for browsing/purchases!

This event is at capacity but you can add your name to the waitlist in case spots open up—and to get first dibs for any future zine workshops! This also helps us figure out how best to plan events in the future.

Join us for a free, masks-required yoga class. We are offering this as a space for people in our community to come together to breathe deeply in a room prioritizing collective health.

The Rolling Library’s book club reads queer fiction and nonfiction, and is open to everyone! They usually meet on the first Sunday of every month in Astoria, often outdoors (weather permitting).

This month, they’re reading Necessary Fiction by Eloghosa Osunde and meeting in our store from 4-5pm. You don’t have to finish the book to attend! Free and no RSVP needed, but for info on future meetings, you can join their mailing list or follow their Instagram.

From 6:30 to 8:30, we’re hosting a casual mixer in the store during our open hours (with non-alcoholic beverages for sale). Bring your favorite gay book and let it break the ice for you!

This month, our book club is reading Love in a F*cked-Up World How to Build Relationships, Hook Up, and Raise Hell Together by Dean Spade! There will be silent reading from 11-1, and then a discussion from 1-3pm. We just restocked, so pop by the store this week to grab a copy!
